A year after the leap year party, the same two colours on the same walls.

The archive recorded blue and gold as the club's colours from July 1912 and from the 1913 book, and then had nothing at all until a Chamber of Commerce bureau's website in 2002. In March 1920 that gap narrowed: the leap year party's decorations were "in blue and gold, the club colors". This is the second, thirteen months later, in the same building, in the same words.

Two independent printings matter more than one. A single notice could be a reporter's flourish; two, a year apart, in a paper that also called them the club colours without explaining the phrase, establish that the colours were the club's working identity in the 1920s and not a fact preserved only in its founding book.

The same column records the ladies of the Emblem club entertaining on the Thursday with their regular business luncheon — the auxiliary's calendar running alongside the club's.

From the source

One of the most elaborate of the season's dances was given last Saturday evening by the Emblem club for the enjoyment of its membership. The club hall was attractively decorated in the club colors, blue and gold, including a profusion of spring flowers. Many beautiful evening gowns added to the attractiveness of the scene.
