Two sentences, and the word that matters is “regular”.
That is the whole item. It is filed because of one word. A party is an event; a regular monthly luncheon is an institution, with a calendar and an expectation that readers already know about it. Whatever the formal position of the club's women in 1920 — and the archive has the paper calling them lady-members in March and the wives of members in December — by November they had a standing monthly fixture at the clubhouse.
The paper also sets “the Ladies of the Emblem Club” in capitals here, as a name rather than a description. That is worth noticing and not worth leaning on: capitalisation in the Bulletin's social column of this period is not consistent enough to carry an argument.
From the source
The regular monthly luncheon of the Ladies of the Emblem Club was held at the club on Thursday. Following the luncheon the afternoon was spent in playing Bridge.
