What the Honey Bee meant to Bend

A 1930 dinner in a year the archive cannot reach any other way.

Two things make this worth having. E. M. Lara is one of the sixteen men who went to Portland with the Emblem Club in 1913, presiding here seventeen years later. And the building is still being called “the Emblem club” in 1930 — six years after the Masons bought it.

This one cannot be checked. 1930 is among the twelve years Historic Oregon Newspapers does not hold, so no original survives to compare. Everything above rests on a column that has elsewhere been caught adding a detail and altering an initial. It is recorded because the alternative is recording nothing at all for 1930.
