A shop on Wall Street put the emblem over its door in February 2018 and photographed it nineteen times between then and July 2026.

The caption is two words and an exclamation mark, and they date the object almost to the day. On 9 February 2018 The Bend Store photographed its new storefront sign at 815 NW Wall Street: The BEND [emblem] STORE, painted letters on a dark board under a glass-block transom, with the disc doing the work of the space between the two words.

Eighteen later posts photograph the same sign — at night, in snow, behind a Boy Scout troop, behind the staff, over a window of rainbow T-shirts — and every one of them is in this record's ledger rather than on a page of its own. That is what the ledger is for: one object, one drawing, nineteen sightings, one route.

The drawing in the sign is the shop's house mark, which this archive already holds on the record of the shop's classic sticker and which is the Downtown file's construction. It is not filed again as a second drawing; a sign and a sticker carrying one artwork are one drawing on two objects.

Seen in use

19 dated sightings, 2018–2026. Each is a record of this object or this drawing somewhere else, and where a picture is hosted it is a documentary crop of the object, credited to whoever holds it.
