The contest, week four and last
The Bend Bulletin · December 13, 1911
In the story: 1. A city of two thousand, to 1912.

The final printing. The contest had eleven weeks left to run and the company stopped advertising it.
The advertisement appears for the fourth time and never again. The contest closed on March 1 — eleven weeks after this page — so the company withdrew the offer from view while it was still open.
It kept buying space. Through the winter and spring the Bend Park Company advertised lots weekly on page 2, at $10 down and $10 a month, and on 20 December it printed an open letter to the Bulletin's publisher claiming over 150 lots sold in a month and asking the paper to start a weekly real estate column. The contest is not mentioned in any of it.
No result was ever printed. Every issue from the March 1 close through 14 August 1912 has been read for the award, the winner, the winning figure and the bank. The Bulletin never reported who won, or whether anyone did.
