A National Register house nomination includes the Emblem Club among Robert Moore’s civic associations.

The nomination lists Robert Moore’s civic life in one sentence, and the Emblem Club is the second item in it — between the Knights of Columbus and the Bend Golf Club, which is roughly where a booster club sat in a lumber town’s order of things.

“One time treasurer” is the whole of what it says. It does not date his term, and the club’s own officers are only named in the paper from 1918 onwards, when the reorganized club elected a president, two vice-presidents, a treasurer and a secretary for the first time. A contemporary election notice would settle it; none found so far names him.

The sentence is quoted as the nomination prints it, including its trailing clause, because the passage is the list and cutting the list would make the club look more prominent in it than it is.
