A woodcut banner with a gold roundel at its foot, served from ci.bend.or.us in December 2005.

Bend incorporated in January 1905, and in 2005 the City ran a centennial. What its own website carried that December is a tall badge: BEND in serif capitals on a curved banner, OREGON beneath it, a woodcut of a mountain, a river and a fence below that, and at the foot of the whole thing a small gold roundel with the emblem in it.

This is the same shape of mark the archive already holds from 2002 and 2011 — a landscape badge carrying the emblem as a detail — and it fills in the middle of that run. It also settles something the deliverable that found it got wrong in the other direction: this is the earliest dated use by the City located, not the earliest dated use of the emblem, which is 3 July 1912 and is in this archive.

The roundel is about twenty-five pixels across in the file the Internet Archive served, and nothing in it but the width of the letters clears a floor the character matrix sets. So the record's value is its date, and the drawing in it is not read.
