TWO EVERYDAY CHOICES AND A HISTORICAL REFERENCE
  1912, modernized
A new, carefully redrawn interpretation of the 1912 design. Clean curves
and deliberate spaces, with the historical letterforms kept
recognizable. This is a modern adaptation, not a facsimile.
    Classification: modern-optimized.
Project-controlled contributions to this modern adaptation are dedicated
under CC0 1.0. Attribution is optional; commercial use and adaptation
are welcome. No third-party trademark rights are granted.

    1912-modern-black 1912 modernized, black
A modern adaptation of the 1912 emblem in black, with transparent
spaces. Clean vector curves preserve the characteristic BEND
      composition.
    1912-modern-white 1912 modernized, white
A modern adaptation of the 1912 emblem in white, with transparent
spaces. Clean vector curves preserve the characteristic BEND
      composition.

  1912 newspaper reconstruction
A source-faithful reference reconstructed from the Bend Bulletin of 3
July 1912, with the copyright symbol omitted. The original printing and
change record remain in the archive.
    Classification: historical-reconstruction.
CC0 1.0 covers only project-controlled rights in this reconstruction.
The 1912 source design is public domain in the United States. No
    third-party trademark rights are granted.

    1912-black 1912 Emblem, black
The 1912 mark: letters and double ring in black, transparent
everywhere else. The central copyright symbol on the newspaper
      page is not reproduced.
    1912-white 1912 Emblem, white
The 1912 mark in white, for dark backgrounds. Transparent
      everywhere else.

  The common emblem
Received common-form artwork with a single disc edge. It differs from
the 1912 newspaper drawing. Its age, author and source are unknown.
    Classification: undetermined.
Received common-form artwork. Origin and third-party rights remain
unresolved; no CC0 or other reuse license is asserted for this family.
Received common-form artwork; origin unknown. The package was produced
with ChatGPT. A contemporary public comparison is filed, but no
historical specimen or creation record establishes this master’s age,
author or method of creation. The lettermark is a distinct received
treatment, not an unchanged extraction of the cutout letters.

    original Common Emblem
The received common form: a black circle with BEND in white and
transparent corners. Its origin is unknown.
    cutout-black Cutout Emblem
Black circle with the letters as true transparent knockouts. What
shows through the letters is whatever is behind the emblem.

White circle with the letters as transparent knockouts, for dark
      backgrounds.
    lettermark-black Lettermark, black

distinct received treatment; its contours and spacing differ from
      the cutout letters.
    lettermark-white Lettermark, white
The four letters BEND only, white, on a transparent ground, for
dark backgrounds. A distinct received treatment; its contours and
spacing differ from the cutout letters.
