Reed was in Bend for his company, which had the contract for laying Willite paving for the tramways at the Shevlin-Hixon plant, and he used the evening to argue that Bend should surface its downtown streets.",
      "His argument was Los Angeles. Bend had the same chance to capitalise its natural advantages, he said, and its business interests should make those wonders known to the world — the people living among them seldom appreciated them to the fullest extent, while Los Angeles had capitalised its climate and its beauties.",
      "The paper spells his company two ways in four lines, “Willite” in the headline and “Willits” in the first sentence, and both are kept as printed."
