      "A second fraternal body came into existence in Bend that Sunday afternoon at Sather's Hall: twenty-one old members of the order living in and near Bend, thirty-five new initiates, and Bend Council, Knights of Columbus, formally organized. The ritualistic and organization work would be done there, and it was hoped to finish early in the evening — at which point, the notice says, the Knights would adjourn to the Emblem club.",
